To Tauranga City Council. We are members of The SANDY WALKER Group. We want to save the sandhills, Mauao to Maketu, and preserve the natural beauty of the coast by preventing high rise development within view of the ocean beach. We ask that Tauranga City Council acknowledges the outstanding natural beauty of the Mauao isthmus. WE SEEK A REVERSAL OF THE CURRENT HIGH RISE POLICY AROUND MAUAO. We ask that the maximum height for buildings in this area be reduced initially to 18 metres and a timeframe be put in place for an ultimate reduction to a maximum built height of 3 to 4 storeys on the Mauao North isthmus.
